Trust Pyramid for Clinics: How a Stranger Trusts You in 30 Seconds
By Arash Latifi — Founder, The DevArt
Patients buy trust before booking. The 5-layer NN/g pyramid for medical and dental clinics with a real case and 30-second checklist.
When you pay for a medical website, patients aren't reading your long CV — they look for a reason to trust you in 30 seconds. NN/g says trust is a pyramid: from license at the base to patient reviews at the top. Without the base, the rest is invisible.
For a dental clinic we built this pyramid and online booking went 2.3% → 4.1%.
5 layers (base to top)
1. License & identity — "Are you legit?"
Medical license, Enamad, exact address with map. Without it, no one scrolls.
2. Expertise — "Can you do it?"
Doctor card: university, years, successful cases (e.g., "1,200 implants"). Not a 10-page CV — 3 bullets.
3. Evidence — "Prove it"
Before/after gallery (with consent), 30s clinic video, short scientific article. In Iran this beats Instagram because it's searchable.
4. Social — "What do others say?"
128 reviews at 4.8, replies to negatives, insurance logos.
5. Interaction — "Will you reply?"
WhatsApp online, "Reply in 2h", 30-second booking with calendar.
Table: low-trust vs pyramid
| Layer | Low (2.3%) | Pyramid (4.1%) | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | License | Footer only | Header + footer + page | | Expertise | "15 years" generic | "1,200 implants, SBUMS 2011" | | Evidence | 2 photos | 12 gallery + video | | Social | 3 reviews | 128 + replies |
